We are super excited to present to you our favourite pictures that were submitted during August for Show Us Your Pics. A massive thanks to all of you who sent in photos of your favourite place in Oz. We’ve been to some of the places already and we hope to see the rest while we’re on the road.
All the images we received were top notch but there can only be one winner!

This image was sent in by our knight in shining armour – Will – who helped us when we were broken down at the Bungle Bungles. He came across this wedge tail eagle scavenging for roadkill on the way to Halls Creek.
A great photo by Kieran – one of the statues that stands on the corner of Bourke Street and Swanston Street in Melbourne city. The sculpture is called “Three Businessmen Who Brought Their Own Lunch: Batman, Swanston And Hoddle” and it was commissioned in 1993 the celebrate the city’s 150th anniversary.
Mark took this shot while he was climbing Uluru. The path to the top was really steep and dangerous – hence the face!
This picture is Will’s second entry into our top 10. That’s him fanging it up a steep incline in his Hilux at a club event at Mount Tallarook in Victoria.
Ben sent in this photo of his favourite place in Oz – North Brother Mountain at Laurieton NSW. Part of the Camden Haven region, North Brother was named by Captain Cook as he sailed past in 1770, and is known to locals as ‘Big Brother’ and as ‘Dooragan’ to the traditional owners. This amazing place looks over where the mountain and the forest meet the sea and is a place of many great memories for Ben. A great view, with wonderful wildlife in a great part of NSW’s Mid North Coast! Truly magical!
We can’t deny that this is one of our favourite places: Melbourne is where we call home! Kieran (Stoneography) took this amazing shot as the sun was just starting to rise over the MCG.
These images was submitted by Rob, who visited The Big Merino in Goulburn NSW.
We that we should include both images, just in case it’s unclear why Rob has his hands all over the gigantic bulge.
WHO WANTS TO PLAY BALL!
This photo was submitted by Cam, a passionate fisherman who was out with his mate on Westernport Bay in Victoria. Gorgeous colours…
An honourable mention goes to Will (again) for this great photo of his ute parked on the beach in Broome. Stunning!
And the winner is…(drum roll)…
Nathan with this awesome shot of the bar at the Mungerannie Hotel. This outback pub is the last watering hole on the Birdsville Track before you hit the Queensland border, and the bearded fellow behind the bar is Phil, the owner of the pub. Nice work, Nathan! Your Barmah Hat will be on its way soon!
We loved receiving your pictures so stay tuned for the next Show Us Your Pics extravaganza!
